On Friday, November 3rd, we had a very special water baptism chapel for our 6th-12th grade students. 16 students stood in front of all their classmates to declare their commitment to God and be baptized. Watch the video above to witness the power of God over our students.

We couldn't be more proud of our Lady Patriots. They fought so hard. We are proud of our TCAF Varsity Girls Basketball State Runner Up! Congrats to Landree Leake and Ashlyn Stanford for being named All State Tournament.

On Tuesday, February 21st the varsity basketball girls defeated Immanuel Christian El Paso 39-30 in Midland, Texas. The girls will play against Chisholm Trail next Tuesday, February 28th at 6 PM located at Lake Country Christian.  Make plans to come support our Lady Patriots!

Both junior high teams will be playing in the CSAF Basketball Regionals finals. This is the first time in school history that both teams have made it to the finals and at the same time. We are very proud of them. Make plans to come see them play.

NEW FAMILIES

On Saturday night the varsity volleyball girls played their 6th state championship game led by head coach Brad Roberson. The Lady Patriots played against Cornerstone Christian Academy from Granbury at Southwestern Assemblies of God University at 5:30PM. The Patriots kept a study lead through the first two sets. In the third set Cornerstone over took the Patriots twice, but the Patriots were finally able to take the lead to a 25-16 victory.

Senior Bailey Roberson was named State MVP and Junior Ashlyn Stanford was name All- Tournament Player. 

Hi, my name is Megan McKenzie and I can’t wait to teach elementary and junior high music classes this year at VCA. I started my musical journey at age four in piano lessons, and grew up playing and singing in church. I went on to earn a Bachelors of Piano Performance at Howard Payne University, and a Masters of Music at Texas Women’s University. In the past I’ve had the chance to do some pretty cool things; like play piano at the Meyerson Symphony Hall and write musicals for different schools. Right now I serve at First Baptist Church Bowie as the pianist, and the coordinator for FBC’s Worship Education Program. My husband Stephen and I have been married for seventeen years and live in Bowie with our eight year old son Ladon. I’m anticipating an exciting year and I can’t wait to get to know you all!

We are excited to announce that Mrs. Williams and Mrs. Luman will be our 4th grade teachers this school year.
Mrs. Williams was our 3rd grade teacher last year and Mrs. Luman was our 1st grade teacher.

Hello! My name is Lindsay Hare and I will be the new high school English teacher for 9th-11th grade. I graduated from Bowie High School and then Midwestern State University with a Bachelor of Arts in 2006 (major in English and minor in Mass Communications). I have taught since 2011 at Perrin High School ( 2012-2015) and Bridgeport High School (2015-2021) and taught classes including English I, II, III, Pre AP English II, AP English III, speech, debate, study skills, and several other electives. My husband, Michael, and I got married in 2008. We had our miracle baby, Hadley, in 2019. We also have two labs, Maverick and Duke. We love spending time as a family. We are members of Grace Fellowship Church.
